Midwinter carols with Melodia

The duo are staging a Christmas ‘Carols by Candlelight’ concert in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

The concerts will be a mixture of beautiful Christmas songs such as Rutter’s ‘Christmas lullaby’ and well-known carols such as ‘The First Noël’ for everyone to sing along to.

Mince pies, mulled wine and other festive treats will be available at both venues.

The dates and times of the concerts are: Saturday, December 21 at the Orangery Tea Rooms, Ashburnham Place at 7pm and Sunday 22 at Battle Memorial Hall at 6pm.

Originally from Battle and Hastings, they spent many years as children competing in the Hastings Musical Festival before going to college.

Since forming last summer they have put on several concerts successfully raising funds for charities such as st Michael’s Hospice and Help for Heroes, the most recent being a ‘women of opera’ concert series which in August and raised nearly £700 for St Michael’s Hospice.
