nothing concrete: Ali Glover curated by Kollektiv Collective at Inspection Pit, East Harting
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
For this exhibition, curated by the curatorial duo Kollektiv Collective, Glover will create a sitescape consisting of installation, found objects, light, and sound, conceived in response to Inspection Pit’s unique exhibition space.
Here, that very space acts as both the artist’s medium and the subject matter of his work. Building as artwork, and vice versa, Glover’s work uncovers the poetry of functionality – a tile, a beam, obsequious machineries taken for granted.

Hide AdAmid the broken, unfinished, and reclaimed architectural moments, nothing concrete explores materialities whose ghosts distantly recall their utilities' past. Glover’s emerging structures are reminiscent of ruins, their apparent disrepair carrying the promise of resurgence.
The exhibition becomes an archaeological site wherein rests the memory of nothing concrete and, perhaps, things to come.
This collaboration with Kollektiv Collective, who specialise in site-specific exhibition-making, encourages experimentation and exchange at the intersection between artistic and curatorial work.
United by their fascination with spatial interventions, artist and curators draw inspiration from Inspection Pit's architecture and the history it holds, together recontextualising the above and below, and altering functionalities along the way.
nothing concrete will be open from October 5 until October 25, at Inspection Pit, East Harting. To attend the private view or to visit the exhibition please book here.
