Paul’s tribute to the Dambusters

Remembrance Sunday has a special resonance this year because it falls on the 70th anniversary of the Dambusters’ raid in World War Two.

Haywards Heath based funeral director Paul Masson, a former member of the Royal Tank Regiment, has put a special display in his window in Queen’s Road to commemorate the historic anniversary, complete with old photographs and models of Lancaster bombers, a Hurricane and a Spitfire made by Brian Meadows.

Paul’s RAF and Dambusters’ theme is attracting many positive comments from passers-by and next year, his window display may be even bigger.

Paul said: “In 2014, it’s the 350th anniversary of the Royal Marines and the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War so I may have to have a split window.”
