Picnic starts the summer

A teddy bears’ picnic on Wednesday, August 3, 11-4pm, kicks off a summer of Wednesday fun at Stansted Park.

The Bears will be back helping in the Big House and the walled garden. Bring a picnic, and with a teddy bear you will enjoy half price family entry to Stansted House (1-4pm) and the Stansted Maze (11-4pm).

Also coming up are The Pantaloons on Wednesday, August 10 at 6.30pm - open-air theatre fun for all ages on the South Lawn at Stansted Park. The Pantaloons present The Canterbury Tales in a brand-new adaptation of the medieval classic with a contemporary twist. Walk the Arboretum -Wednesday, August 17, 1-4pm - offers family walks, starting from Stansted House at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm. No need to book. Enjoy the great outdoors and meet some very special trees. Half price admission to the Stansted Maze (open 11-4pm).

Portraits Day -Wednesday, August 24, 1-4pm - gives children the chance to enjoy dressing up as Upstairs and Downstairs characters from olden days, and find out about some of the real characters in Stansted House’s portraits.
