Premieres continue at festival

English premiere: Perfect Sense, Saturday, August 27, 6.30pm, 92 mins plus Q&A; Sunday, August 28, 5pm. Preview: Rebels Without A Clue (15), Thursday, September 1, 4.15pm, 80 mins plus Q&A. Mixing coming-of-age and teenage romance themes with guns, coke and corpses, Rebels Without A Clue is an exploration of classic Uk indie Danny Boyle-like thrillers.

Two teenage boys witness a drugs deal go horribly wrong on the moors of England. They steal the guy’s 1966 Cadillac, a case full of cocaine, his gun, and the money. Now all they have to do is buy a spade to bury the drug dealer’s body (stashed in the trunk), appease Damian’s mouthy girlfriend, lose their virginity, get off the moors and head south.

Preview: The Debt (15), Friday, September 2, 9pm, 114 mins; Saturday, September 3, 6pm. A new espionage thriller from director John Madden, starring Helen Mirren, Sam Worthington, Jessica Chastain and Tom Wilkinson.

The thriller begins in 1997 as shocking news reaches retired Mossad secret agents Rachel (Helen Mirren) and Stefan (Tom Wilkinson) about their former colleague David (Ciarán Hinds).
