Setting the stage for musical talent at Rye

The Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival presents for the first time Chapter & Lyric, a unique and inspirational live music and educational project encompassing instrumental music, vocal and song writing.

It celebrates the best in live blues, jazz, neo soul and latin performed by outstanding established and rising music talent.

Live music performances will take place over August 30/31 and will be staged in the walled garden of Lamb House, deep in the heart of Rye.

Both days will feature superb artists who will provide diversity and fun for all the family. Kyla Wight, the creative director of Chapter and Lyric commented: “We have been overwhelmed by the sheer amount of musical talent that has applied to perform as part of Chapter & Lyric this year which is incredibly exciting.”

Performances take place from midday and run through to mid-evening. Refreshments are provided at the venue with a fully licenced bar, food stalls and much more. The festival is encouraging families to attend and tickets are £8 for adults, £4 children under-16, and under 11’s free. Artists include Fraser Churchill, Dan Olsen, Joe Corbin, The Violet Jive, Sharlette, Monty Taft, James King, Stephanie Richardson, Miranda Joy, Alex Munk, James King, Eddie Smith & the 507, amongst many others.
