A concert of masterworks at the Hawth

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra presents a concert of masterworks by Beethoven at the Hawth, Crawley, on Sunday, February 23 at 7.30pm.

Beethoven’s dramatic Egmont Overture introduces the Triple Concerto, directed and performed by pianist Freddy Kempf and acclaimed principal players of the orchestra, violinist Clio Gould and cellist Tim Gill. Ending with a flourish, Freddy Kempf performs Beethoven’s Emperor piano concerto.

Freddy Kempf is one of today’s most successful pianists, performing to sell-out audiences all over the world. Freddy has built a reputation as an explosive and physical performer not afraid to take risks as well as a serious, sensitive and profoundly musical artist.

Clio Gould enjoys an unusually-varied career as a violinist and performs as soloist, director and leader throughout Britain and Europe.

She made her BBC Proms concerto debut in 1999 with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and has made concerto appearances with the London Sinfonietta, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Ulster Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
