The comedy star is set to perform at The Capitol Studio on Saturday, November 9, at 7.45pm.

What would you do if you had the chance to rethink a major part of your life? That’s the big question Jo is asking as she embarks on her 20 date autumn tour.

Fresh from the success of her recent Radio 4 show, Jo Caulfield’s Speakeasy, Jo is pondering some major life decisions, tearing apart the things that make her angry.

She’s had her fill of irksome friends, strangers who expect her help, bad tempered shop assistants and she’s had a surprising revelation about her marriage.

Jo’s show is inspired by a shocking conversation with an audience member.

She said: “Five years ago I got married in New York. At a recent gig I was talking to a woman who’d done the same thing.

“She said ‘Wasn’t it easy? Pay $50, get your license, three minutes later you’re done.

“The hardest part is when you get back to Britain and you have to fill in all the paperwork and register it here’.

“I felt my blood go cold – I didn’t know we had to do that! Then it hit me like a ton of bricks – I’m not actually married to my husband!”

The realisation that she is, in fact, a single woman, got Jo thinking: “If you could make all your big life choices again, would you do the same things?”

Although Jo is a regular on many TV and radio panel shows, including Mock the Week and Have I Got News for You, it’s on the live stage where she really shines.

With her razor-sharp observations and her scandalous one-liners its no surprise she was recently nominated as the Best Female Comic in the UK.

And for all the romantics out there, there is a happy ending: “We’re going to renew our wedding vows... and this time I’m determined to stick to at least three of them.”

Nominated as ‘Funniest Woman’ (Loaded Awards), ‘Best Female Stand-Up’ (Chortle Awards) and one of The 100 Greatest Stand-Ups (Channel 4), Jo Caulfield is one of the most successful and instantly recognisable female comics in the UK.
