Spokesman Stephen Newberry said: “It’s the perfect way to start the weekend. This month compere Kevin Precious introduces zany Wes Zaharuk and Caimh McDonnell
“Wes Zaharuk offers one of the zaniest shows on the market. If you like to laugh you won’t want to miss this comic in action.
Wes Zaharuk credits his comic roots to his parents. They made ‘not listening’ an Olympic event, he says. As a child, his parents dressed him in wool pants that were incredibly itchy. Complain as he would, his words fell on deaf ears. When he developed a skin condition that looked like a large, all-dressed pizza, he was tested for allergies. It was found that he was allergic to wool. Through it all, Wes developed his desire to be heard.”
Stephen added: “Genial white-haired Irishman Caimh (pronounced ‘Queeve’) McDonnell has quickly established himself as one of the circuit’s most amiable and friendly acts.
“Equally at home performing a set or compering, Caimh is a regular at most major UK venues, and his gentle yet incisive humour makes any audience feel involved whilst playing with their expectations, sucking them in with his chatty, playful stage presence before metaphorically slapping them in the face with an unexpected punchline.”
