I think I hit the sweet spot for clubbing.
I started going out in the late 90s, when some of the (in my humble opinion) best dance tracks ever were being released.
And so it was a complete joy for me to be able to relive my youth when Ministry of Sound Classical came to Brighton Centre last night.
Celebrating the ultimate dance hits from the 90s and beyond, Ministry of Sound Classical sees all your favourite dance tracks reimagined and recreated in a breathtaking performance by an incredible 31-piece orchestra.

My husband – also from the same era – joined me and despite the fact that we had seated tickets were couldn’t help but ‘chair dance’ all night. In fact, I think it might have been impossible for anyone who loves dance music not to be bopping along.
From Darude - Sandstorm, Dario G - Sunchyme, Faithless - Insomnia to Fatboy Slim - Right Here, Right Now and many, many more tracks, so many classic tracks were in there. It was the perfect Saturday night to take you back to when we were all worrying about Y2K and nobody had a smartphone.
The orchestra was absolutely incredible, hearing the tracks elevated like that made them sound better than ever. And the atmosphere in the room, as they really ramped up, was electric.
They were joined by five phenomenal singers, and later on in the show there was a guest performance of a few tracks from Sigma.
Support on the night was from Switch Disco, who were also excellent at getting the crowd ready.
It was the perfect party night in a city famed for its love of dance music.
