REVIEW: Sean Lock at The Dome in Brighton

SEAN Lock rolled into Brighton in his purle van last night (Wednesday, October 9) and rolled out leaving an 1,800-strong audience with aching bellies.

The popular comedian brought his Purple Van Man show to The Dome, Brighton, where a sold-out crowd lapped up his every word.

Lock’s show takes the concept of a white van man doling out observations on life and gives it his unique, humourous twist.

The result is his witty and irreverant observations about all manner of topics from Ant and Dec through to his support for binge drinking.

Perhaps best known for his role as a team captain on Channel 4’s show 8 Out of 10 Cats, Lock won the crowd over with his trademark friendly banter and occasional forays into the world of physical comedy – I know I’ll certainly never look at a moth hovering around a lightbulb again without letting out a chuckle or two.

With a reaction like he got last night, I’m sure it won’t be long before Lock is back to entertain the south coast.
