VIDEO: Wings and Wheels preview day

Thousands of car, motorbike and airplane fans will be descending on Dunsfold Aerodrome over the August Bank Holiday for the annual Wings and Wheels event (August 24/25).

A special preview day was held today (Tuesday August 13) with guests treated to displays from a glider, model Red Arrows and a Hurricane, a tour on the much-filmed Boeing 747, and a chance to be taken round the track in one of several sports cars.

Visitors to Wings and Wheels will be treated to a diverse five hour air display with the Red Arrows, an Avro Vulcan, a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Typhoon, Tucano and Apache Attack Helicopter just a few of the highlights.

Supercars and classic and vintage icons will put on an awe-inspiring display of power and speed on the Top Gear track during the day.

There will also be the chance to look over the Boeing 747 that has featured in films such as World War Z, Casino Royale, The Da Vinci Code, and the forthcoming Formula 1 movie Rush.

As well as the main arena displays there are numerous stalls and static displays to keep everyone fascinated all day.

Plus there are more than two dozen catering outlets, free on-site parking and public camping.
