Trio promise severe blowing of mind

POST-punk alternative rock maybe with a twist of indie, shaken but not stirred '“ that's what you'll get if you turn up to see north Devon-based Severe Zero at their fifth gig in Brighton.

They are playing at Sound Factory@The Providence on May 31 and comprise Jamie Gillespie on guitar, Frank Rawle on drums, and Luke Bond, an all-round musician who also runs his own successful recording studio.

Together they make a sound that they promise will blow your mind.

"We are not a punk band, but we are not indie either.

We are maybe a rock band," says Bond. "I have been running a recording studio for about five years and I was in a band with the guitarist for years before starting this. We got tired and thought we wanted to start something really new. We started writing some material.
