VIDEO: UK’s strongest men smash world record in Horsham

TWO of the country’s strongest men smashed a world record this morning (Thursday April 19) in Foundry Lane, Horsham.

Ed Hall lifted 25 bricks and held them across his chest for two seconds to beat legend Geoff Capes’ record of 24.

But the title, set at new building merchants Covers, was held by Ed for only 20 minutes.

Competitor and strongest man veteran Glenn Ross matched the record to share the title - shouting ‘who’s the daddy!’ in victory.

The duo showed off their incredible strength throughout the day - including a lorry pull - as part of the official opening of Covers.
