Vocal Explosion Choirat St Clements Church
From the lively to the soul-wrenching, Vocal Explosion Choir present its new set The Music of The Gypsies, inspired by upbeat wedding music and passionate laments from Eastern Europe.
The concert will take place at St Clements Church, High Street, in the Old Town, tomorrow (Saturday) and will feature a solo performance by Juliet Russell whose voice has been described by The Stage as ‘brilliantly haunting’. There are pieces from Bosnia, 17th century Sephardic Spain, and iconic songs from the Romanian culture, giving a taste of Eastern European vocal harmonies.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £4 for children 13 years and under. They are available from B&T Music or SHOP in Norman Road or on the door.
