TWINNING: The Horsted Keynes Twinning Society. ‘Get to Know Your Village.’ A Powerpoint presentation will relate key points of the village history from William the Conqueror to today’s twinning with Cahagnes in Normandy, which dates back 947 years. The evening will start with a glass of wine and a cheese tasting by our award-winning High Weald Dairy. Doors will open at 7.30pm at the Martindale Centre and the presentation will start at 8.30pm. BIRDS: Autumn Bird Day at Warnham Local Nature Reserve, Warnham Road (B2237), Horsham, RH12 2RA. From 10am to 4pm. Come down to the Reserve for some hands-on family fun. Learn how and what to feed the birds in your garden. Make bird feeders, mobiles, and bird silhouettes. Enjoy a scavenger hunt. Watch the birds from the hides and learn about them from our ‘Guides in a Hide’! Cost: normal entry to the Reserve (£1.50 adults, under 16s free but must be accompanied by an adult).
