Owner Andy Blick, previously a salesman in the construction industry, fulfilled a long-standing ambition when he opened the restaurant, which is between Upper Beeding and Henfield, in July 2006.

"I enjoy cooking and can turn out a reasonable meal, though I'm not a chef, but when I came across these premises, which were run-down, I could see the potential.

Andy has created a unique atmosphere, relaxed and yet stylish, where casual and smart dress intermingle and lunch can be anything from a bowl of soup with a difference or a full blown three-course meal '“ and the food is excellent.

The restaurant simply buzzes with atmosphere and is full of satisfied customers, reflecting the high quality of food and outstanding value for money.
