Batt Sails, which is based in Delling Lane, Bosham, is raising funds to cover essential materials and distribution costs so that it can provide visors to Registered Carers and Hospices for free.

A computer cutting facility at the sail loft is also being used to cut hospital scrubs ready for local volunteer groups to sew.

“We have adapted our sail making facility in Bosham and are now manufacturing and distributing high quality PPE visors on a not-for-profit basis.

“A notable feature is their comfort and the protection they afford to the forehead/hair.”

Mr Batt is urging members of the public to donate to the cause by visiting the fundraising page here.

“The more we raise, the more we can do to help fill this urgent need,” he said.
