People are being urged to support the ‘truly enterprising’ retailers in Pulborough.

Chairman of Pulborough Parish Council Ian Hare said retailers providing essential services have worked ‘particularly hard’ to keep the community going during lockdown.

He added: “They have been ably supported by enthusiastic volunteers to ensure that the elderly and vulnerable in our community have been supplied with food and medicine.”

Other retailers and service providers haven’t wasted time during lockdown, Ian said.

He added: “They’ve been planning how to re-engineer our shopping streets, getting their premises into appropriate shape for social distancing and have launched a new website to promote trade in Pulborough.

“They have been truly enterprising and, on behalf of the parish council, I urge all residents to support the relaunch of our shopping centres.”

To help promote local businesses, the Pulborough Traders’ Association has launched a new website www.PulboroughTraders.co.uk, supported by a Facebook page and Instagram account, to help people find what they need locally.
