The BID has declared 82 per cent of the 255 votes cast were in favour of ChiBID2, the revised business plan for the district.

Of 770 BID members, the figures represent a 42.5 per cent turn out of 600 eligible voters in the renewal ballot.

Three ballot papers were rejected as being unsigned or counted as void out of uncertainty.

A majority was also found when votes were weighted according to business rates paid, with an aggregate rateable value of £11,473,850 out of £12,353,450 in favour.

BID manager Charlotte Wickins said: “Thank you everyone for your continued support.”
