Colourful banners have been put on lampposts in two shopping areas of Eastbourne this week to encourage customers and visitors – and mark a name change.

The banners in Victoria Place – the seaward end of Terminus Road – and Little Chelsea are the brainchild of the Eastbourne BID group.

Spokesperson Leanna Forse said, “The eye-catching banners in Victoria Place draw those for a walk along the seafront into the town centre and shows Eastbourne is open for business. With a large number of independent shops and restaurants in Little Chelsea, the banners will attract more customers to their area too.”

The banners have been designed by Eastbourne firm PRG and installed by Festive Illuminations.
