Chichester Tesco Express store to be transformed

A Tesco Express Store in Chichester is to be transformed into the newest branch of One Stop.

The store on St James' Road has been chosen to be fully refitted as a One Stop to 'better serve the local community', Tesco has announced.

It will close on April 3 for works to be carried out, before reopening later that month.

According to Tesco, the Chichester Express currently employs 26 colleagues, who will all be part of a 'period of collective consultation regarding these changes'.

Colleagues working at the store will be transferred to One Stop, Tesco said.

A spokesperson added: "We believe the One Stop brand will better serve the local community, and we look forward to continuing to provide customers with a range of great value products when this exciting new shop opens in late April.”
