A new indoor activity park has officially opened in Crawley, bringing more than 40 trampolines, interactive games and a range of family attractions to the town.

Oxygen Crawley opened its doors at Crawley Leisure Park on Friday, October 16, following an investment of more than £2 million.

The 22,000 square foot venue, located on the first floor of the former Nuffield Health site, is the company's 19th indoor activity park in England.

The opening comes ahead of the October half-term, with sessions starting from £15.95 per person.

Visitors enter through Oxygen's signature Excite Tunnel, an illuminated sensory experience designed to build anticipation before they reach the main activity area.

Inside, families can enjoy more than 40 trampolines, a giant airbag and a variety of interactive games and challenges.

Two large slides are also planned for the venue, although these are not yet available and are expected to open soon.

Among the attractions is an interactive sports pitch, which uses electronic targets and sensors to turn traditional ball games into challenges.

The multi-storey strike zone allows visitors to navigate obstacles and hit illuminated targets to score points, either individually or as part of a team.

There is also an i-Wall, where players compete against each other in games testing their speed and reflexes.

Crawley is the first Oxygen venue to introduce the company's new interactive pixel floor, which challenges players to complete games against the clock using their feet.

For younger visitors, a dedicated soft play area caters for children aged five and under, featuring a multi-storey play structure, mini slides and foam blocks.

Daily toddler-only sessions will also be available, while SEN ‘peaceful play’ sessions will provide a quieter environment for visitors with additional needs.

The park offers 60-minute sessions for £15.95, 90-minute sessions for £20.45 and two-hour sessions for £24.95.

A ‘play together’ ticket allows families and groups to purchase four tickets for the price of three.

There is also an ‘after school fun & feast’ offer, available on weekdays from 3.30pm, which includes unlimited play until closing time, a children's hot meal and a slush drink for £15.95.

An on-site café serves drinks, snacks and meals, while four birthday party packages are available, each including playtime, food and a dedicated party area.

The opening follows a special inspection by four local children, who were recruited to Oxygen's first children's suite to test the attractions before the venue welcomed the public.

The youngsters were appointed to the roles of chief memories officer, chief fun officer, chief tricks officer and chief play officer.

Following their visit, the park received an enthusiastic verdict, with the children describing the new attraction as ‘extraordinary’.

Stephen Wilson, chief executive officer of Oxygen Activeplay, said children will have ‘big-time fun’ at the venue.

He added: “Oxygen Crawley is open and ready for families to let loose and explore everything our brand-new park has to offer! We’re so pleased to be bringing a new place to play and get active to the Crawley and wider Sussex community.

“Our team has been working hard for months behind the scenes, making sure Oxygen Crawley is as exciting as possible.

“We can’t wait to meet all of the local families; we’ll see you very soon!”

Bookings are now available through the Oxygen Crawley website.

PureGym and Heavenly – a brunch and dessert eatery – are also both open at Crawley Leisure Park, with Pizza Express set to follow.
