Lewes Aldi reopens after refurbishment and extension – in photos

The Aldi in Lewes has reopened following a refurbishment and extension.

The store on Brooks Road opened its doors once again on Thursday, October 15, at 8am.

The revamped shop offers a larger retail space of 1,299 sqm, as well as clearer signs and easy-to-browse freezers.

Fresh bread and cakes have been moved to the last aisle in the hope that these soft items will not be placed at the bottom of customers’ shopping.

Store Manager Sam Quirke said: “The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers, and supplying our local community with the amazing products we have available. Hopefully the new-look store will make shopping at Aldi Lewes that bit easier and more comfortable.”

The store will be run by Sam and a team of 32 colleagues.

The Aisle of Aldi offers Specialbuys every Thursday and Sunday. In it’s reopening week the Lewes store is set to offer products like a Ceramic Tower Heater (£19.99), Dehumidifier (£44.99) and Bladeless Fan Heater (£49.99 each).

The shop’s opening times are 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays. People can find job applications and more information on all of Aldi’s store positions at www.aldirecruitment.co.uk/stores.
