New addition to The Beacon in Eastbourne

Work will begin this month (September) on new doors to the £85 million extension after complaints from customers that the centre was particularly cold during the winter months and the wind blew through the mall.
Most of the eight-week work schedule will take place when the centre is closed so that customers can continue to use the entrance near H&M and Next. At the same time, an additional set of doors will be added to the Sainsbury’s end of the mall.

Hide AdCentre manager Bill Plumridge said, “With a project of this scale, we continue to monitor its performance and after a review, we took the decision to add doors to the new entrance and to the Sainsbury’s part of the mall. The process was due to start earlier this year but was delayed by the pandemic.
“Work is due to be completed by mid-November. We would like to thank everyone in advance for their patience while this work is ongoing.”
The latest signing to be announced for The Beacon is the south east’s first Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park, due to open early autumn.
