Signs have gone up advertising another new coffee shop in Worthing town centre.

Muffin Break is set to open in Montague Street, in the space previously occupied by Peony.

According to its website, Muffin Break serves gourmet pies, quiches, wraps, cakes, scones and cookies as well as its ‘famous muffins’.

It states: “At Muffin Break we believe the more good going in, the more good coming out. It is our mission to add a little goodness to people’s every day.

“We do this by making deliciously good food, baked fresh every day in our kitchen right here in-store. Muffin Break are passionate about sourcing only the best Arabica beans, to deliver the perfect coffee for our thriving local community.”

Muffin Break originated in Canada in the 1970s and was procured by the Foodco Group in Australia a decade later.

The first Muffin Break bakery café in the UK opened its doors in 2001 and there are now 60 locally owned cafés nationwide.
