New West Sussex dessert shop opens – with plenty of delicious-sounding items on the menu

Rèver Desserts, in River Road, opened its doors for the first time two weeks ago – and the owners said the response has been good so far.

Sisters Sophia and Vida Davidson run the shop together, with Sophie managing the shop and Vida baking everything.

Sophia said: “It’s been good so far, everyone in Arundel is friendly.”

Réver Desserts was built from the sisters’ genuine passion for baking and creating sweet treats for others to enjoy.

They have spent the past seven years baking and creating cakes and desserts to sell from home, and decided now was the time to finally open a shop.

They added: “opening our shop has been an exciting milestone for us and represents the growth of something that originally started with a love for baking.

“At Réver Desserts, we want to offer more than just desserts. Our aim is to create a welcoming local business where customers can discover delicious homemade treats, celebrate special occasions and simply enjoy something sweet.

“Our range includes homemade cakes and cake slices, cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, waffles, pancakes and other sweet treats.

“We also offer a selection of ice creams, milkshakes, mocktails, smoothies, hot coffee and refreshing drinks.

“Alongside the treats available in our shop, we take pre-orders for celebration and occasion cakes and cupcakes, giving customers the opportunity to order something special for birthdays, celebrations and other memorable occasions.”

Some of the shop’s popular flavours and treats include Biscoff cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake, strawberry shortcake cheesecake, Oreo red velvet cake, school dinner sprinkle cake and Victoria sponge, alongside a range of freshly made desserts and drinks.

The shop’s tagline is ‘Made with passion, shared with love’, to reflect what the sisters want the business to represent.
