A holiday park operator has announced it will be extending its 2020 season until the end of November for the first time in its history.

Haven, which owns Combe Haven Holiday Park in St Leonards, said due to popular demand, the extension will see the company’s Haven Hideaway offering available at its 16 parks across the UK until November 30.

Haven Hideaway will provide guests with self-contained, self-catered holiday homes on the coast, as well as facilities such as takeaway food options, supermarkets and launderettes.

Gerard Tempest, director of guest and proposition at Haven, said: “We’re delighted to be able to extend our 2020 season and with that, the chance for a UK getaway.

“With a number of travel restrictions in place, and previous closures to holiday parks throughout the UK, there are many guests that weren’t able to enjoy the holiday they had previously planned for 2020. We hope that by extending our season, we’re able to allow more people the chance to get a break by the coast.

“Our 2020 and 2021 sales have been strong across all regions in the UK and since launching Haven Hideaway in May, we’ve seen web bookings increase by 96% over a one-week period. Because of this, we know holiday makers are still looking for the chance to safely get away during the pandemic and want to be able to provide that for as many people as possible.”

In addition to extending the season, Haven said it will continue to offer its Coronavirus Book with Confidence Guarantee on all November bookings.

It said the free guarantee will allow guests the ability to change their break any time from 28 days before, right up until three days of their arrival date should there be issues preventing them from travelling due to coronavirus.
