West Sussex cinema to close for 'safety of our staff and customers' due to Red Weather Warning
The Connaught Cinema in Worthing has said it will close tomorrow (Thursday, June 25) due to the ongoing hot weather.
A message on its Instagram page posted this evening reads: “Due to the Red Weather Warning in place and temperatures expected to rise on Thursday – we will be closed on Thurs 25th June.
"This is for the safety of our staff and customers. If you have bookings for this day, our box office team will be in touch shortly.
“Les Liaisons Dangereuses for this day has been postponed and has two screenings available – Sat 4 July and a new additional screening on Wed 8 July. https://wtm.uk/events/nt-les-liasons-dangereuses/”

The cinema joins schools from across East and West Sussex in closing, due to the extremely high temperatures.
Earlier today, the Connaught had issued guidance to customers on how to keep cool when seeing a film there due to the building having no air conditioning.
