Eastbourne based menswear brand dressing famous faces across the UK

A menswear brand based in Eastbourne has been represented on some of the biggest stages this year – from Windsor Castle to the Pride of Britain Awards and Royal Ascot.

Dobell was founded by Mike Dobell, whose dad formerly ran the Alexandra Hotel in King Edward's Parade.

Mike founded the business in 2003 while studying at university and has seen it grow from strength to strength, now occupying four warehouses.

And this year has seen his brand earn recognition through the various celebrities that have showcased their clothes at some noteworthy events.

Olympic gold-medallist Sir Christopher Dean wore a Dobell suit at his Knighthood investiture at Windsor Castle in June.

TV Presenter Rylan Clark and American rapper Yung Gravey donned Dobell pieces at Ascot in June, as did England rugby star Ben Foden at a recent golfing event.

Peter Andre wore one of the brand’s suits in a photoshoot for the cover of Fabulous magazine alongside his wife Emily MacDonagh, which was published in September.

Andre’s son Junior, currently starring on “Celebrity Race Across the World” alongside his sister Princess, also wore a Dobell suit to the Pride of Britain Awards 2026 in October.

On the famous faces wearing his products, Mike said: “It's pretty cool, and it's a sign of recognition of our brand that, from something of an idea years ago, people are wearing our brand on red carpets all over the world.”

Dobell already sells its products to eight different countries, and Mike said the next step is to continue growing the business and further its reach across the world.
