Eastbourne events confirmed for after lockdown

Eastbourne has a number of events confirmed for after lockdown as the town edges closer to normality.

Despite Airbourne being cancelled this year, excitement has been building for the return of the Eastbourne International tennis after last year’s event was cancelled due to Covid.

The tournament is set to run from June 19-26 while Magnificent Motors is also returning to the town between May 22 and 23.

Beer and Cider by the Sea is another event set to return although a date in August is yet to be announced.

Residents will also be treated to a number of running events this summer with coastal trail running, the Macmillan Mighty Hike, Race for Life and the Eastbourne 10k all happening between April 17 and June 20.

Eastbourne Feastival is another event set to return between June 25-27 while the town will also be celebrating Pride on July 17 with the Ironbourne Triathlon being held the day after.

The town is also preparing for the Walking Festival which will run from September 17-26.

Tickets are now on sale for an evening with George Michael tribute Rob Lamberti at the Congress Theatre on October 7 while an Elvis Presley tribute act is also scheduled to take place at the theatre on September 16.
