NHS staff at the Eastbourne District General Hospital were delivered free pizzas as a thank you for their work throughout the pandemic.

Domino’s dropped off the food as part of a £4 million givesaway to NHS and hospital workers.

The pizza company has been surprising frontline healthcare workers in hospitals with food nationwide to provide a much-needed boost after a long shift during these challenging times and will continue to do so for the next few weeks.

CEO of Domino’s UK and Ireland Dominic Paul said, “We’re proud to have supported our frontline heroes during this time, and once again, Domino’s would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to all the healthcare workers who are currently working exceptionally hard to tackle Covid-19.

“We’ve been privileged to remain open throughout the pandemic so we can continue serving our communities.

“Whilst we may not be saving lives, we want to show our gratitude to those who do, so we’ve been surprising as many healthcare workers across the UK and Ireland as we can with freshly prepared pizza deliveries.”
