Eastbourne shopping centre set to open for business again

The Enterprise Shopping Centre, in Station Parade, will open on Monday (June 15), after it closed in March in line with government guidelines to limit the spread of the virus.

A centre spokesperson said their team has put in place ‘comprehensive’ social distancing measures, more than 40 hand sanitizers throughout the building for public use and an ‘enhanced’ cleaning routine.

A number of traders will be opening up for business, the spokesperson said, including restaurants and cafés, which will be open for takeaways and deliveries only.

Other businesses, such as hair and beauty firms and tattoo and piercing parlours will remain closed until further updates from the government.

Denise Harwood, commercial director of the enterprise centre, said, “We’re looking forward to welcoming all of our customers back to the centre.

“The health and safety of our tenants and visitors is our top priority and we would kindly ask that customers follow guidelines when they visit the centre.”
