Flooding in Burgess Hill: Tesco temporarily closed after people seen wading through water at entrance
Tesco in Burgess Hill was temporarily closed this afternoon (Wednesday, August 17), after the main entrance to the store was flooded with water.

Images shared on the Burgess Hill Advertising and Gossip Facebook group at 2pm showed people wading through water at the front of the shop.
The footage was captured during today’s downpour.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by the temporary short closure of our Burgess Hill superstore this afternoon and can confirm the store is now open as usual.”
