Guided freehold £280-300,000, Essenden Road Surgery at 49 Essenden Road was among 83 lots being sold online by Clive Emson regional land and property auctioneers.

Sam Kinloch, a Clive Emson director and senior auction appraiser, covering Sussex, said: “There was keen interest and an offer was made to the seller, prior to the auction, which was accepted.

“The building is considered ideal for possible redevelopment or change of use, subject to planning consents, although we are not privy to any plans the new owner may or may not have.”
