Haywards Heath firm helps Computers for Charities

Haywards Heath based Aria Assistance, a leading insurer and assistance provider, is donating redundant IT equipment to Computers for Charities, a local aid organisation in Hailsham that supports good causes in the UK and abroad.

Computers for Charities wipes sensitive data from and refurbishes unwanted IT items, then sells them on at low, VAT free cost to charities, voluntary groups, churches, school and non-profit organisations. All funds raised go towards supporting its other initiatives, such as improving primary and secondary education in Africa.

Patrick Leroy, Chief Executive Officer at Aria Assistance, is delighted: “At Aria Assistance we are committed to supporting local charities and regularly raise funds any way we can, from giving away old computers to making cash donations and running sponsored activities. Computers for Charities is a worthy cause and on our doorstep, so helping the charity was a natural choice. Also, we are a sizeable firm so when we upgrade our IT systems there tends to be a large surplus of IT equipment. We recently sent three vans worth to Computers for Charities, so it should keep them busy for a while!”

Aria Assistance joins Computers for Charities’ long list of donors and business partners, which includes GMTV, British Airways and IBM.
