Daish’s Holidays owns 12 sites across the country including the Imperial Hotel on Devonshire Place.

From March 1-22 the company says it saw a majority of its bookings were for June this year, lining up with the date given by the government to lift all Covid restrictions.

The booking figures revealed there was a 699 per cent increase compared to June 2019. The business has also seen a big increase in the number of bookings for May, October and December, compared to the same months in 2019.

The Imperial Hotel received the highest percentage of bookings in this peak period compared to the rest of the hotels in the Daish group.

Paul Harper, sales and marketing director at Daish’s Holidays, said, “Spring and summer bookings have rapidly increased since January and it is evident that people feel reassured holidays on home soil can go ahead this year.

“It is reassuring to see that the influx of bookings are not just being made for summer, but we are also benefitting from a similar surge for the winter months.

“This will allow the business to start financially recovering from our temporary closures and lay the foundations for future growth in 2022.”

Paul said customers are also forward-planning rather than making last-minute booking which he said shows an ‘increased consumer confidence in UK travel’.

He said, “We’re proud that so many holidaymakers are entrusting us to deliver a memorable and enjoyable stay after what has been an incredibly difficult and turbulent year.”

The Imperial Hotel will reopen on May 17.

I can confirm that the Imperial received the highest percentage of bookings (16%) in this peak period when compared to the rest of Daish’s portfolio of hotels.
