Local East Sussex Alt Net Full Fibre operator Lightning Fibre has now launched in the area, delivering hyper fast full fibre broadband to over 6,000 more homes and businesses in Eastbourne.

Christina Ewbank, who heads up the Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce, cut the ribbon to launch the service and commented: “Lightning Fibre is a real local success story; employing hundreds of local people, investing heavily in our town and bringing multi-gigabit connectivity to Eastbourne. Lightning Fibre are “levelling up” the area, for the Digital Age, and the Chamber is very happy to offer its ongoing support and encouragement to this great local company.”

Expanding across East Sussex

The company is rolling out across the whole of Eastbourne, and rapidly expanding across East Sussex. The build is planned to meet areas of high demand first, so the public are encouraged to register their interest online to help the company optimise the roll out.

Ben Ferriman, Lightning Fibre’s Founder and CEO, added, “As this is our home town, we’re thrilled to be making such a huge impact and we’re delighted by the uptake thus far. We’re working fast and hard to deliver full fibre to the town. We’ve worked sensitively in Meads, working in conjunction with local stakeholders to protect the conservation areas.”

Local employees

Headquartered in Eastbourne, 95% of Lightning Fibre employees come from East Sussex, and the install and customer care teams are based in Polegate. The company charges highly competitive prices, to suit all requirements, and local residents are encouraged to register online at www.LightningFibre.co.uk for more information. As the network is symmetric, unlike other providers, consumers enjoy guaranteed upload and download speeds of at least 100Mbps at the modem. The network supports 10,000Mbps, making it completely future-proofed for decades to come.
