New training grants scheme will ‘grow Eastbourne economy’

Training providers, social enterprises and charities are invited to attend the launch of a new employment and training grants programme in Eastbourne.

The council is hosting the event in the Orwell Room of the new Welcome Building in Devonshire Quarter on Thursday February 13, from 5pm to 7pm.

Grants of up to £5,000 are being provided to deliver new employment, education and training initiatives which are not currently delivered in the borough.

Eastbourne council leader David Tutt said, “Eastbourne residents and businesses alike are set to benefit from this scheme which will in turn have the knock-on effect of growing our local economy.

“I would encourage any interested parties to come along to the launch to find out more and discuss their funding proposals.”
