“In September 2020 Mid Sussex District Council approved our plans for the regeneration of the town centre,” said Justin.

Justin said that during the past year retail and town centres had faced a period of ‘unprecedented change and challenge’.
“Our focus has been and continues to be on holding regular conversations with all parties as next steps for the future of The Martlets Shopping Centre are mapped out,” he added.
Mid Sussex District Council approved amended plans for NewRiver’s £65million regeneration of Burgess Hill town centre on September 3.

Hide AdMembers of the planning committee voted unanimously to approve the redevelopment of The Martlets shopping centre, which includes 172 flats, a ten-screen cinema, bowling alley, gym and hotel.
