Popular Eastbourne seafront cafe set to reopen after huge refurbishment
A seafront cafe in Eastbourne is getting ready to reopen next month after an ‘extensive refurbishment’.
The Pavilion in Royal Parade will be opening its doors again on May 17, according to Eastbourne Borough Council.
A spokesperson for the council said, “The indoor cafe is now fully extended, utilising all of the space within the building, while the outdoor terrace overlooking the Pavilion Gardens provides an al fresco dining option and a perfect stop-off point along the prom for food or refreshments.
“A cafe-style menu will offer lunch and light bites, as well as a licensed bar menu, similar to before, subject to a new licensing agreement.”
This comes as the council has applied for a new licence to sell alcohol from 11am-10pm seven days a week, and hopes to provide a space for both recorded and live music too.
