Eastbourne council leaders, officials from the business and charity communities as well as police, volunteers, the hospitality industry, the town’s MP and mayor and churches took part in an online hangout.
The only people missing who were invited were representatives from the health trust and the organisation which oversees GP surgeries.
The group will meet again next week.
