Woodland play centre wins mums’ votes in top awards

A Horsham attraction has scooped the runners-up prize in the prestigious Netmums Outdoor Play Awards.

Woods for learning clinched one of the top spots after being voted for by members of Britain’s biggest parenting site Netmums.com

The Woods for Learning is an inspiring educational approach to outdoor play and learning in a woodland environment. Based on a Forest School approach for all ages with specialists programmes for those with learning, sensory or physical disabilities.

Gary Marlow who runs Woods for learning said: “It’s wonderful to be recognised for what we do, especially as its from the parents.

“We want to take life back to nature: explore, discover, play, learn ensuring children, young people and adults, including those with learning, sensory or physical disabilities an opportunity to play outdoors. We now hope to welcome even more families after being recognised by Netmums as one of the regions best outdoor attractions and the great thing is we can take it to an area near you.”

Woods for Learning is the first Forest School programme to be recognised in the area.

The company will receive a string of prizes including a special certificate to display at the venue, an exclusive badge for their website listing, free advertising on Netmums and promotion on the site’s awards pages.
