A young boy from Horsham who is determined to keep his local community free of litter has been named the Resident of Month for September.

James Bravery is just seven years old, but he’s become a clean-up champion to his neighbours in Broadbridge Heath for his regular litter picking patrols.

According to Keep Britain Tidy, two million pieces of litter are dropped in the UK every year.

Nigel Winter is a partner in the family team at DMH Stallard and met James to present him with a special certificate.

Nigel said:

“Little James is making a big difference to his local community and is a standout example of why we launched the Resident of the Month award.

“It would be wonderful if everyone would put their litter in a bin or take it home, but we all know that doesn’t always happen.
