Whether it’s providing vegetable seeds for a family in Uganda or supporting a teacher in Bangladesh, these gifts make a real difference.
To make each gift extra special, and to have something to present on Mother's Day, each one is posted with a beautiful woodland-themed card, exclusively designed and donated by local artist Charlotte Loukes.
Charlotte is a West Sussex-based artist who lives in Petworth, just down the road from the Children on the Edge Chichester office. From walking challenges to rolling up her sleeves and volunteering at local fundraising events, Charlotte has been a supporter of Children on the Edge for over a decade.
Charlotte currently specialises in atmospheric, nature-inspired, and landscape work, often featuring the South Downs and has recently been featured in several local exhibitions, including the Horsham Museum and Art Gallery, and Chichester’s Oxmarket Contemporary Gallery.
For over 35 years, Chichester-based Children on the Edge has worked with local communities in some of the toughest situations, creating environments where children can thrive. They currently support over 15,500 children in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Uganda and Afghanistan.
Go to the 'Gifts of Hope' webpage to browse what's on offer, or go straight to www.childrenontheedge.org.
Gifts can be posted to you so you can give them directly, or straight to your loved one. Order by Wednesday, March 11th, to get your gift token and a specially donated illustrated card by post in time for Mother's Day.
Digital gifts available until 2 pm, Friday, March 13th.
