This month’s Village Hall Coffee Morning is today (Friday) 10-12 with the usual mix of good company, excellent home made bakes and the opportunity to buy cards and bird food. All very welcome.
This is followed by Sequence Dance in the Village Hall at 2pm, and then we have Badminton in Pretious Sports Hall at 7.30pm.

It’s Ewhurst and Staplecross Bonfire on Saturday 26th, and it’s always a really good display, so worth taking the family. The Junior Procession starts at 7pm, followed by the main Procession of visiting Societies, which marches to Cripps Corner, returns to the Cross Inn and then onto the Bonfire Field for Bonfire and Fireworks.
Shortmat Bowls in the Village Hall every Monday at 2pm, with the Budgerigar Society in the Jenkins Room at 7.30pm this week.
Seniors meet in the Village Hall each Thursday at 10am for conversation, good food and some entertainment. Call Denise (07858 145155) to find out more – you’ll be welcome! They are in need of volunteers to help with giving members a lift to and from the meetings. If you could help, regularly or occasionally, please call Val (253793).

I’ve just been leafing through the brochure for a Charity Art Auction at the Hub on Rye Hill in aid of Rye Memorial Hospital and there are some lovely items for sale with the charity receiving 25% from all sales. Tickets, £10, are available for the auction night which will be on Friday 29th November. Contact [email protected] or 01797 228842.
There will also be a number of non-auction pieces available for sale on the night. Details on how to register are on Rye Hospital’s website.
