The streets of East Grinstead were filled for the town’s annual bonfire celebrations.
Crowds gathered from 6pm for a remembrance service at the war memorial.
The procession followed at 7pm from Church Lane and the bonfire display started at 9pm from East Court.
Staypuff Marshmallow Man won this years build-a-guy competition and was positioned on top of the bonfire, chosen by East Grinstead Deputy Mayor, Craig Pond.
A spokesperson for East Grinstead Community Bonfire said the event ‘went really well’ and estimated over 3000 people attended.
The town’s bonfire society took to Facebook and said: “Thank you, East Grinstead! What an incredible night we all shared...
“From the wonderful Procession through town, to the glowing Bonfire and that spectacular Fireworks display, it was all made possible because of YOU.
"Thank you so much to everyone who came along, cheered, volunteered, donated, and helped make our community bonfire such a special occasion. You’re all amazing!”
Every penny raised is said to be shared between the society, Jigsaw Southeast, Quarry Cafe and East Grinstead Community Fridge.
