A Level results: Hailsham Sixth Form students praised

Hailsham Community College Sixth Form students have been praised for their ‘hard work, commitment and outstanding ability’ after receiving their A Level results.

Head Of Sixth Form Simon Marsden said his Year 13 students are a ‘special group’ after they received their results on Thursday (August 13).

He said, “I cannot begin to express my pride and admiration for our students. To see so many of them today with smiles on their faces, accepted onto their chosen progression, has lifted the spirits of all the staff.

“I know everyone connected with the college would particularly like to thank the Year 13 cohort for their extraordinary contribution to the development of Hailsham Sixth Form and their impact on the wider community.

“They are a special group of students for whom we wish every success for going forward – their legacy of hard work, commitment and outstanding ability will inspire students for years to come’.”

The school highlighted some students for their outstanding achievements, which included Libby Russell who earned A*, A, A, Chelsie Bentley-Astor received A, B, B, Rachel Gardner got A, B, B, and Maddie Coomber was awarded A, A, Distinction*.

Principal Phil Matthews said, “We are incredibly proud of all our students for their hard work and efforts of the last two years.
