Ark Alexandra Year 9 students reach new heights at St Paul’s Cathedral

A group of Ark Alexandra Year 9 students enjoyed an unforgettable Drop Down Day visit to the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral. The trip began with an inspiring guided tour, taking students across the cathedral floor and down into the historic crypt, before they bravely climbed all 500 steps to the top of the magnificent dome, where they were rewarded with breathtaking views of London.

Annabelle shared her thoughts on the visit, saying, “It was really exciting and a nice experience to explore a place of worship.”

Archie H added, “It was great to see all of the religious artefacts, and it was really cool going to the top of the dome.”

After the cathedral visit, students took a festive walk through central London, soaking up the sparkling lights before heading to Covent Garden to enjoy the seasonal atmosphere.

Reflecting on the day, Archie K said, “We visited some really exciting monuments – it was great to take learning outside the classroom!”

A thoroughly holly-jolly day was enjoyed by all.
