“We are proud of how they have conducted themselves and are delighted with the grades awarded that will launch them forwards to the next exciting phase of their success.

“After an unprecedented summer patiently waiting, students received just rewards for hard work and endeavour during their time at the school.

Students this year were unable to take exams due to the pandemic but Centre Assessed Grades represented their ability and commitment to their GCSE

subjects.

“There were a number of incredible individual success stories including, Tayssir Ben Caid who achieved eight Grade 9’s to add to the Grade 9 he achieved in Latin while in Year 10. He is moving onto Eastbourne College having attained a scholarship.”

Jessica Excell achieved four 9s and three 8s, Ferdi Ibrahim, four 9s and two 8s, James Mitchell, three 9s and four 8s and Emily Strevens got five 9s and two 8s.

Vicky and Catherine said: “They were a fabulous year group, who rose to the challenge of the pandemic and faced it head on with a very mature and adult fashion.

“We have been really impressed with the resilience and positive attitude the students have had over the last few months with both the pandemic and the unprecedented focus on the 2020 GCSEs.

“We would like to thank staff and parents who have supported the students through their time at Bexhill Academy and wish our students every success in the next stage of their journey and look forward to hearing about all of their future endeavours.”
